Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
by JK Rowling
WOW! That is the frist word that comes to mind when I think of this book. I just finished reading it for the third time. And even though I knew what was going to happen, I still could not put it down! It is just that good! Prisoner of Azkaban is probably the best plotted book that I have ever read. JK Rowling absolutely amazes me. Again I say "WOW!"
Harry has a lot on his mind as he enters his third year at Hogwarts what with Qudditch, and girls and an escaped convict after him. Sirius Black spent the last 12 years in Azkaban Prison for killing 13 people with a single curse. He is the only wizard to ever escape Azkaban and now he is after Harry. And THIS is just the MAIN plot! There are so many plots going on at once, if you think you know what is going on... well, you're wrong! Nothing is as it seems. By the end everything ties together, in way that I could never imagined. It still thrills me everytime I read it.
Azkaban is also the introduction of one of my favorite characters in of Harry's world: Professor Remus J. Lupin. *sighs* Lupin is right up there with Ron and Neville, at least in my eyes. These three are the kind of characters that one cannot help but fall in love with and root for along the way. I want nothing but the best for them and hopefully JKR won't disappoint me. :) Ummm...don't worry Harry... I like you too. *grins*
